A Familiar Face at Bunnings — Supporting Goolwa Through Service
The Lions Club of Goolwa continues to be a regular presence at Bunnings Victor Harbor, setting up our iconic BBQ every six to eight weeks, serving the famous Bunnings snag in bread. Although Victor Harbor sits just outside our official catchment area, the location remains a key gathering place for Goolwa locals—many of whom shop there weekly, if not more frequently. Our Bunnings BBQ not only serves as a consistent and successful fundraising initiative, it also offers a valued social occasion where our members reconnect with friends, family, and community members spread between Goolwa and Victor.
We’re proud to say the Bunnings BBQ has become a cornerstone of our fundraising calendar, helping us raise vital funds to support local projects, charities, and services. In keeping with our commitment to grow and adapt, we’re now extending what we offer beyond the traditional sausage in bread and a cold drink. Customers can now also purchase Lions cakes and mints, providing another way to support the work we do while enjoying trusted Lions-branded products.
Every dollar raised through these events goes directly into community-based initiatives and charitable activities, helping us make a tangible difference in the lives of those in need. Whether you drop by for a snack or stay for a chat, your support strengthens the Lions Club of Goolwa’s ability to serve.
Keep an eye out for our BBQ setup next time you visit Bunnings Victor Harbor—and know that when you support us, you’re supporting your community.
